One of the great insights of the yoga and Tantra masters was nature consciousness. In the normal waking state, the consciousness is drawn through the mind via the senses toward the objects around us. When we are disconnected from the senses, consciousness is drawn into the twists and turns of memory and the past, which conditions our thoughts about ourselves. Meditation begins as we master the fluctuation of attention and direct our minds rather than being pulled along. Once we gain this control, we can set a new direction for our lives. We'll focus on meditation, including mantra and visualization, as a way to realign our action with our priorities. Integrated practice with visualization and mediation.

Evidence-Based Viniyoga Therapy for Stress Management

Stress plays a primary role in the development of disease. Yoga has tremendous potential for assisting the general population with reducing stress and the effects of stress-related diseases. Come learn the techniques that Gary used in a 12-week multiregion study on stress management for Aetna Insurance Company. The intervention introduced tools for managing stress, including asana, breathing techniques, relaxation, mental techniques, and education. The data analysis showed statistically significant results in reducing stress. Through lecture and practice, Gary will cover methods used in the study to relieve musculoskeletal tension and headaches, improve sleep, increase feelings of well-being, and improve coping strategies for dealing with stressful events and the subsequent negative symptoms. Lecture and practice.
