Gary and a number of AVI-trained Yoga Therapists will be presenting at SYTAR - the Symposium for Yoga Therapy and Research - this year. Gary and Mary Hilliker will be offering workshops on the design, implementation, research and evaluation of the Aetna pilot Viniyoga For Stress Reduction study. Fred Miller will hold a workshop on using a yoga practice to Eliminate Stress and Avoid Panic Attacks. Jaruska Solyova will demonstrate how to use asana, pranamaya and mantra to facilitate good digestion. And Fran Ubertini will show how peri- through post- menopausal women can use yoga tools to optimize health. In addition, AVI will be represented in several Common Interest Community sessions: Jerry Landau on Osteoporosis, Robin Rothenberg on a Shema Meditation through the Chakras, Ellen Fein on Connecting to the Anandamayakosha, and Aggie Stewart on Rheumatoid Arthritis.

SYTAR is being held this year at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, California, from September 1 - 4.
