The American Viniyoga™ Institute (AVI) currently offers three professional training programs:

AVI Viniyoga™ Teacher Training Program
The AVI Viniyoga™ Teacher Training Program prepares students to teach safe and effective group and private yoga classes integrating asana, pranayama, meditation and chanting. We emphasize the personal practice of the yoga teacher as the foundation of the training program.
The AVI Viniyoga™ Teacher Training Program is an opportunity for beginning or experienced yoga teachers to immerse themselves in the Viniyoga™ approach to yoga. Serious students of yoga who wish to deepen their personal practice and health care professionals with an interest in yoga and health are welcome to attend this program. Upon completion of the AVI Viniyoga™ Teacher Training Program, students may enroll in the AVI Viniyoga™ Therapist Training Program.
The program includes four, two-week teacher training retreats. Our Viniyoga™ Teacher Training program is registered with the Yoga Alliance under the 2008 standards for 500-hour programs.

AVI Foundation for Yoga Therapy Training Program
The AVI Foundation for Yoga Therapy Training Program is an immersion in the Viniyoga™ methodology for yoga teachers who wish to enter the AVI Viniyoga™ Therapist Training. Yoga teachers who have completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training program from a school registered with the Yoga Alliance are eligible to apply. Health professionals who have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program from a school registered with the Yoga Alliance and yoga teachers who have completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training program that is not registered with the Yoga Alliance may also be considered for entry to the program.
The AVI Foundation for Yoga Therapy Training Program immerses students in the Viniyoga™ methodology, which forms the foundation for Viniyoga™ Therapy. Students who complete this program may enroll in the AVI Viniyoga™ Therapist Training Program.
The next AVI Foundation for Yoga Therapy Training Program includes two sessions: February 13 - 25, 2011 and October 10 - 21, 2011. AVI Viniyoga™ Therapist Training Program
The AVI Viniyoga™ Therapist Training Program is open to graduates of the AVI Viniyoga™ Teacher Training Program and to students who have completed the AVI Foundation for Yoga Therapy Training Program. The AVI Viniyoga™ Therapist Training Program prepares experienced Viniyoga™ teachers to work with individuals with structural, physiological and emotional conditions. Our program emphasizes the development of clinical skills in Viniyoga™ Therapy for work with individuals and groups.
The program includes three, two-week training sessions.
